2024 Genesis G70: What’s New?
Genesis made a soft reveal of its 2024 G70 sport-luxury sedan near the end of 2023, and the most significant part is the arrival of a muscular 2.5-liter turbocharged four-banger. It replaces the 2.0-liter turbo from the outgoing G70. The mill produces 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft. of torque, 48 more horses than before.
Accompanying the more potent engine are standard Brembo brakes to ensure better stopping power and a more precise pedal feel.
In addition, Genesis has added two new paint colors (Kawah Blue and Vatna Gray) to the G70 palette and has sprinkled the interior with luxurious trim and switchgear.
2024 Genesis G70 Powertrain
The Genesis G70 2.5T has the new 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder with 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft. of torque. Meanwhile, the G70 3.3T has a 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 with 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque.
There’s a standard rear-wheel and optional all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) for the turbo four-pot and V6, but both share an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel Economy
The 2024 Genesis G70 2.5T RWD returns an EPA-approved 21 in the city, 29 on the highway, and 24 combined, nearly identical numbers to the outgoing 2.0T engine.
Selecting the all-wheel drivetrain yields an EPA rating of 20/28 city/highway and 23 combined.
Meanwhile, the G70 3.3T RWD achieves an EPA-rated 18/27 city/highway, while the AWD variant returns 17 in the city, 26 on the highway, and 20 combined.
Interior Space & Cargo Capacity
The Genesis G70 has a five-seat cabin that offers 39.8 and 38.7 inches of front and rear headroom and up to 34.8 inches of legroom in the second row. Moreover, the G70 has 10.5 cubic feet of trunk room for grocery shopping, suitcases, or golf bags.

Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard, while the AWD variant adds a heated steering wheel.
Standard tech and convenience features include a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, an eight-inch driver’s display, navigation, and a proximity key.
G70 2.5T Sport Prestige Package
The $4,200 Sport Prestige package is available for the 2024 G70 2.5T.
The package includes 19-inch sport alloy wheels, a dark chrome front grille, a sunroof, ventilated front seats, acoustic front door glass, alloy pedals, wireless smartphone charging, and a Lexicon premium stereo, to name a few.
G70 3.3T
The Genesis G70 3.3T starts at $51,145 (RWD) and $53,245 (AWD).
It has an updated features list, including variable gear ratio steering, leather seats, power and ventilated front seats with lumbar and memory settings, custom 19-inch wheels, variable exhaust, a digital key, a power telescoping steering wheel, a sunroof, and a Lexicon premium stereo.
G70 3.3T Sport Prestige Package
Like the G70 2.5T, the 3.3T has an available Sport Prestige package ($4,400). The package adds an electronically controlled suspension, limited-slip differential, a heads-up display, Nappa leather seats, a microfiber suede headliner, a power trunk, and a heated tiller.

We have admired the Genesis G70 since its debut in 2019, and the 2022 redesign has made it one of the sharper-looking sports sedans that deliver excellent value for money. Despite losing its manual gearbox option for the 2022 model year, the 2024 G70 is worth a look if you want something different than a BMW, Audi, or Mercedes-Benz.
